The Nick Maughan Foundation was established in 2020 to further a range of philanthropic initiatives in education, the environment and civic support schemes for disenfranchised communities.

Nick Maughan is a British businessman, investor and philanthropist. He was born in January 1980 in Hammersmith, London where he lived and was educated before studying religion and theology at the University of Manchester. He returned to London to complete his masters in Finance at Cass Business School. At the age of 24 Nick left the UK for the United States before later moving to Bulgaria.

Nick has sponsored a number of scholarships in secondary education in the area of London in which he grew up, and supports a range of private initiatives to provide educational aid to households below the median income. He also continues to support a number of civil society initiatives, including for the empowerment of the Gurkha community in the United Kingdom and Nepal.

Nick is also a collector and active supporter of the arts. Inspired by the work of his brother Oliver Maughan, a London-based landscape painter, he supports young and emerging artists in the United Kingdom.

The Nick Maughan Foundation is a donor-advised fund at NPT UK, a registered charity in England and Wales (charity number 1181128). NPT UK specialises in donor-advised funds and bespoke giving vehicles for philanthropic families and individuals. For more information, see www.nptuk.org.
