The Nick Maughan Foundation is proud to announce its participation in The Times Christmas Charity Appeal 2020, as part of its ongoing support for wildlife conservation charity, Tusk. The Foundation has announced it will double readers’ donations to Tusk up to a value of £150,000.
The Times appeal aims to raise funds for three charities dealing with urgent problems, all made more acute by the Covid-19 pandemic:
- FareShare, which tackles hunger and food waste in Britain
- Sported, which uses the power of sport to help young people overcome challenges ranging from mental health struggles and disability to exclusion from school, crime, racism and physical inactivity
- Tusk, which protects endangered species across Africa by finding ingenious ways to reduce conflict between animals and humans.
The Foundation is enormously proud to support The Times’ campaigns at a time when conservation initiatives across Africa are in grave financial peril. The Covid-19 pandemic has dramatically reduced tourism revenues across the continent, which has pushed more and more humans into conflict with endangered species.
This Christmas, please consider donating to Tusk to help sustain vital conservation initiatives across Africa at https://times.ctdonate.org/. Thank you.
